I live in mid-city. It’s kind of a no man’s land between the Westside and Downtown. There’s not really any reason to stop there, unless of course, you live there like me. You just keep on going from point A to point B around it or sometimes though it.
It’s really difficult to explain exactly where it is, especially to someone who hasn’t been here, to Los Angeles. It’s not really here….or there. It’s not famous like Hollywood, glitzy like Beverly Hills, beachy like Santa Monica, developed like Downtown, hipster like Silver Lake, or gentrifying like Echo Park. But it exists, that’s for sure. Yet, whenever people roll up to my big yellow Spanish-style house, in mid-city, they remark how amazing it is.
