On graduation day, my friend Bahare gave me this lei. It was the first time I had ever had a lei that was not plastic. On a recommendation from my roommate, I decided to keep it and dry it out. It sat around for a number of days, each day it looking much like the day before. But when I look at it in this picture, it no longer looks the way it did on graduation day.
